Backers, not shareholders
The Kickstarter launches October 2026. Between now and then, the project has to become perfect: final 3D printers online, packaging locked, international shipping tests, finish work at the level of the real vehicle.
All of that costs real money — and it has to be funded now, not in October.

Why is there no discount on the Founders Edition?
Because this isn't about price. The Kickstarter Premium costs the same. What you get here isn't a cheaper price — it's a lower number, a physical card, and your model 3–4 months earlier. We don't discount. We add value.
Why only 150 spots?
Because 150 is the number we can hand-finish to the standard this model deserves before the Kickstarter window opens. We're not limiting artificially — we're limiting honestly.
What about numbers #001 → #035?
Those are permanently reserved for the long-time customers who supported Space Rocket Lab from the very beginning and helped shape the design of this model. They're not for sale — ever.
Product & Shipping
Does this model differ from the Kickstarter version?
No. Same 1:144 scale, same components, same finish. The difference is the serial number, the Certificate of Authenticity, and when it ships.
When exactly will I receive it?
Founders Edition ships December 2026 through February 2027, depending on your position in the queue. Kickstarter backers receive theirs May–Dec 2027.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, worldwide. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.
Will I pay customs duties or import taxes?
It depends on your country. Inside the EU there are no extra customs charges: the model ships from Italy within the single market.
For the rest of the world, import duties are set by your destination country and we cannot predict them. In the United States the rate is around 15%, but it varies from country to country. A UPS brokerage fee of about 15 USD may also apply.
For the United States, you will most likely pay nothing. Once we reach our order threshold, which we are confident we will, we ship in pallets and fulfil inside the United States. Your package then arrives domestically, with nothing to import from Italy.

Can I upgrade to a Kickstarter tier later?
No. The Founders Edition is a separate, limited opportunity. Once the 150 spots are gone, this specific combination — low serial + reserved founder price + early shipping — is gone for good.
When does the window close?
When spot #185 is taken. There's no date — just 150 units. It could be days or weeks.
