02 — INSPECTION
See inside the upper stage
The Interim Cryogenic Propulsion Stage, or ICPS, separates and goes back into place, so you can inspect the upper stage outside the full stack. Orion's solar panels are closed, as at launch.
03 — FINISH
Look closely at the markings
The vehicle graphics are UV-printed directly onto the parts, not applied as decals. Look closely and you will find small text and markings all along the stack.
04 — UNBOX
Open the box. It's ready.
Your SLS arrives painted and pre-assembled, in sections that fit together. Fit them together on the included launch-platform base and it is ready to display.
05 — DISPLAY
72 cm on its display base
The model stands 72 cm tall with the base, 68 cm without it. From across the room you see the full stack; up close, the smaller details take over.
06 — ORIGIN
Built at our workbench
Every SLS is assembled, painted and finished by hand in our Italian workshop. The model that reaches you has passed across our workbench before it reaches your shelf.

The certificate
Your SLS has its own number.
Each SLS comes with an anodized aluminum Certificate of Authenticity, engraved in our workshop with the model's serial number.
Serial numbers are assigned in order, starting from #145: the earlier you order, the lower your number.
Numbers #1 to #144 went to the first edition, made before this campaign.

Separate the upper stage. Look into the engine cluster. Find a marking you remember from launch footage, then another beside it. This is the kind of model that gives you a reason to look again after the first day on the shelf.

Why this campaign
This campaign builds the next SLS run.
Until 10 December, your orders fund and help us plan the next SLS production run. That covers the work before a model leaves our workshop: printing the parts, finishing each one by hand, preparing the packaging and getting it ready to ship.
You order directly from Space Rocket Lab, the workshop that will build your model.
From the founder
I started by building the rockets I wanted to own.
Space Rocket Lab started in my bedroom because I couldn't find the rocket models I wanted on my own shelf. So I began making them.
Today our workshop also builds models for the Italian Space Agency and Thales Alenia Space. And now I get to make them for people who care about these vehicles as much as I do.
This campaign funds the next SLS run: printing the parts, finishing each model by hand and preparing it to ship.
If one ends up in your home, I hope it brings back a launch you stayed up for, or makes you look up one more detail about how the vehicle works.

A few things to know before you order.
The campaign
What does my order fund?
Your order helps fund the SLS production run at Space Rocket Lab: printing, hand-finishing and preparing the models for shipping. What you receive is exactly what you select at checkout.
Why run the campaign on your own site?
Because this is already our store, where we sell our models directly. Your order comes straight to Space Rocket Lab, while the campaign counter tracks the production run as it grows.
What are stretch goals?
They are FREE extras that unlock as campaign orders reach each milestone. Once unlocked, they go into every campaign box, including orders placed earlier.
When does the campaign end?
The campaign closes on 10 December 2026 at 23:59 Italian time.
Product & Shipping
Will I need to assemble or paint the SLS?
No painting and no glue. Your SLS arrives painted and pre-assembled, in sections that fit together, with the display base in the box. Fit the sections together on the base and it is ready to display.
Is the model shown here the one that will ship?
Yes. The 1:144 SLS shown on this page is the model we will produce and ship, with the same scale, components and hand-finished construction you see here.
When will my SLS ship?
We make one model per working day and ship in the order pre-orders were placed. Each option shows the estimated window for an order placed today, and after you order you can check yours on the Track your order page.
Do you ship to my country?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Every option with the SLS ships free to Italy, the EU, the UK and the US. The complete second stage on its own, and orders to other countries, have a shipping rate: you'll find them all in the shipping table above.
Before deciding
Will there be import duties?
If you are in the United States, Italy or the EU, you pay no import duties. EU orders ship from Italy inside the single market. US orders travel in pallets to the United States and are then delivered domestically.
In the UK there is no customs duty on EU-made goods, but UK import VAT (20%) and the courier's handling fee are charged on delivery.
For other destinations, import duties are set by the destination country.
Can I change my mind?
Yes. Cancel before dispatch and we'll refund your order in full.
Do the Orion solar arrays come open or closed?
On the SLS they come closed, as at launch. The second stage sold separately (options 1 and 3) comes with both versions, open and closed. If you choose the SLS and want them open, add the Orion deployed solar panels: they are magnetic, and you can swap them whenever you like.
